WWE presented the final stop before Wrestlemania 39 in the form of Elimination Chamber 2023, last night. In one of the co-main-events, six women superstars from Raw and Smackdown battled it out inside the Chamber structure to secure the challenger’s spot in a championship match at Wrestlemania 39. Making the speculations true, the predicted favorite ended up becoming the winner.

In the opening match of Elimination Chamber 2023, Asuka defeated Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, Carmella, and Natalya to win the Number-One Contender’s Chamber Match for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39. With that, Asuka vs. the reigning champion Bianca Belair has been confirmed for the Show of Shows.

Nikki was the first woman to get eliminated from the women’s Elimination Chamber 2023 match after Raquel slammed her through the pod glass. Natalya and Asuka then submitted Liv by putting her in a double submission and the latter passed out.

Carmella superkick-ed Natalya for the third elimination while Asuka and Mella together worked to eliminate Raquel from the match. Asuka finally submitted Carmella with the Asuka Lock maneuver to win the Elimination Chamber 2023 matchup. After the match, WWE officially announced that Asuka will face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39 for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Men’s Elimination Chamber 2023 Winner To Face Edge On WWE Raw Main Event

Asuka has been a multi-time champion in WWE

Since making her WWE debut on NXT in October 2015, Asuka has been the longest-reigning NXT Women’s Champion, a two-time Raw Women’s Champion, a one-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, and a 3-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Now, she’s coming back for the red-brand title that’s been held by Bianca Belair since Wrestlemania 38.

Bianca Belair was not booked in any title defense at Elimination Chamber 2023. As noted above, she’s been the Raw Women’s Champion since defeating Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38. Since then, she defended the title against the likes of Sonya Deville, Carmella, and Bayley. The EST of WWE most recently defended her title against Alexa Bliss at the 2023 Royal Rumble and successfully defended.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 Premium Live Event took place at the Bell Center Montreal, Quebec, Canada where a men’s Elimination Chamber match was also in store. In that match, United States Champion Austin Theory (c) defeated Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Montez Ford, and Damian Priest to retain his title inside the Chamber structure.
