United States Champion is going strong on the Road to Wrestlemania 39 as he emerged to be Men’s Elimination Chamber 2023 match winner. Moving on in a press conference hosted by the WWE, he took a shot at John Cena to tease the potential ‘Mania encounter. In addition, he also threw an Open Challenge for this week’s Raw that got accepted by WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
In one of the co-main-events of Elimination Chamber 2023, United States Champion Austin Theory (c) defeated Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Montez Ford, and Damian Priest to retain his title inside the Chamber structure. This was certainly a redemption point in Theory’s career after being brutalized throughout last year’s Chamber match.

The finish of the match saw Seth Rollins planting Theory with a Pedigree. Seth was looking forward to ending things with his pendant Stomp when Logan Paul entered the chamber and took him out with a Stomp of his own! Theory took advantage and nailed the A-Town Down finisher to get the pinfall win on Rollins to win the Men’s Elimination Chamber 2023 edition.

Austin Theory issued an open challenge for Raw
Moving on, Theory showcased his brass attitude during the post-Elimination Chamber 2023 press conference. He took a shot at his potential Wrestlemania opponent John Cena before proceeding to throw an open challenge for the United States Title on this week’s Raw,
“I’ll have an open challenge on Monday, but nobody’s gonna accept it. Nobody’s in the now. Nobody’s forever like Austin Theory. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter who it is, because they are going A-Town Down.”
Edge to wrestle on post-Elimination Chamber 2023 episode of Raw
In that same Elimination Chamber 2023 press conference, WWE Hall of Famer Edge and his wife, also a WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix were guests, a few moments later. Edge mentioned in his comments of not working in the host city of Raw, Ottawa for 18 long years. So, he accepted the US Open Challenge slated for Raw,
“Man, an open challenge? We’re in Ottawa Monday. I haven’t wrestled there in 18 years. I haven’t had gold in a while. He’s a Cena fan, so he’s probably stupid. I’m not saying anything about Cena, because he has work ethic, unlike Austin Theory, which I will prove on Monday when I accept his open challenge.”

Edge and Beth Phoenix defeated Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley with Dominik Mysterio) in a mixed tag team match at Elimination Chamber 2023. The rivalry is expected to continue through the Wrestlemania season. For the time being, Balor vs. Edge is speculated to happen at the Show of Shows, possibly inside the Hell in a Cell structure.
