If Zayn can capture the title, he becomes the champion and will face Cody Rhodes, the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match winner. If Reigns retains his title, then the already confirmed main event for Wrestlemania 39 will be intact, and that is Reigns vs. Cody for the undisputed title.

According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, it’s hard to reveal any sort of spoiler regarding Zayn vs. Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2023. During his PWInsider Elite podcast, Mike informed “no one has said to me yay or nay that one person is winning and one person is losing.” The indication was that either the final plan was still up in the air or the finalized plans were being closely guarded by WWE’s creative team. Mike added that Johnson said there are 50/50 chances on whether Zayn may walk out as champion from the PLE hosted at his hometown. The decision is being taken so that WWE may even change the match’s ending at the very last moment.
