WWE was proud to announce their first international premium live event outing of next year in the form of Elimination Chamber 2024. It will be a huge stadium show in Australia which does require bigger names on the card to make things a sell-out. That aspect is now dragging The Rock into the equation for a potential matchup at the PLE.
Almost two decades ago, WWE held its first Australian special event named Global Warning. The Rock was the headliner of that tour alongside Triple H since both of those names were in their heyday. Since after Rock made an appearance on Smackdown on the September 15 episode, a Wrestlemania 40 appearance is being touted for him and Elimination Chamber 2024 will also be on that road.
The West reports that there have been talks of The Rock appearing at the Elimination Chamber 2024 since this would be the newly formed TKO group’s first large-scale international event. They’re looking forward to having a grand show with a megastar like the former seven-time WWE Champion on board.

It was also noted how TKO wants their first Wrestlemania in next year’s April to be an absolute showstopper and the road to the biggest event of the year will go through Elimination Chamber 2024,
“Adding to the speculation is the fact that WWE was recently sold to Endeavor. There is a strong suggestion the company, which also owns the UFC, wants its first WrestleMania in charge to be an absolute showstopper. As a result, there is talk The Rock might very well wrestle in Perth at the Elimination Chamber in February on his way to WrestleMania to face Reigns two months later.”
We’ll have to wait and see if WWE can eventually book The Rock for Elimination Chamber 2024 which has already proven to be a guaranteed sell-out after having a record number of pre-registered bookings. Making future appearances in the WWE is fully dependent on The Rock’s will as well as his Hollywood schedule.
WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 is scheduled to take place at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, on Saturday, February 24, 2024. This will be the first time that WWE will conduct a stadium show in Australia since the 2018 Super Showdown.
