Eva Marie was a particular name on the WWE roster who has less technical in-ring skills but could garner attention. Whenever she used to appear on WWE TV, the audience used to react in a positive or negative way which the WWE Officials always want rather than the fans going, cricket. However, she never had to enjoy a seamless career in the WWE.
Away from the wrestling circuit, Eva Marie went on to earn fame in the mainstream circuit. She left a mark in the gymnastic, modeling, fashion industry alongside Hollywood. After debuting in movies a few years ago, now she is set to feature in another movie.
Eva Marie was a recent guest on Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz to break the news. During the interview, the former WWE Superstar spoke about the film which will admittedly be her first lead role in an action film,
“I had filmed my first lead action, it’s called ‘Phoenix’ and hopefully it — if everything goes well in the editing room it will drop this year. I don’t know where exactly it will live in the sense of like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, but that is a little something that I have been up to for sure.”
Eva Marie previously featured in two movies after leaving the WWE
According to the IMDb listing, one of the first films of Eva Marie was the 2017 thriller Inconceivable, which starred Nicholas Cage and Gina Gershon in lead roles. Three years later, in 2020, she starred in the action film, “Hard Kill” with Bruce Willis and Jesse Metcalfe. Now, one more film will be added to her regime, possibly by the end of the year.
Before coming to the movie industry, Eva Marie already started her TV career with the Total Divas reality series in the WWE. Despite being a reality TV star, she had an underwhelming first stint in the WWE despite being touted as a future megastar. After being on NXT for a year, she was imported to the main roster. Due to her failure to make an impression in the Women’s Evolution, she was released from the contract in 2017.
Eva Marie made her WWE comeback during the pandemic era in 2021. WWE reintroduced her with a new gimmick of a celebrity that didn’t lead to much success, either as she was once again released from her contract on November 4, 2021. Despite the dual releases, the bombshell claims to have a good bond with the WWE which could drag her back to the company, down the road.
