After staying a lot of time out of action, former Impact Wrestling World Champion Tessa Blanchard has finally found a new wrestling promotion to be her new home. She has reportedly signed a multi-show deal with XPW, according to an announcement made by the promotion earlier today.

It was also announced that Tessa Blanchard’s first show for the XPW promotion will be at the Broken, Beat & Scarred event that takes place on Saturday, May 27, in the Heart Ball Room, in Newark, New Jersey. This match will be the talented wrestler’s first in-ring appearance for any promotion since dropping the Warrior Women’s Wrestling Championship to Kylie Rae in September 2020.

This confirmed event will be a follow-up of XPW’s recent Killafornia event, which saw XPW King of the Death Match Champion SHLAK defeat Drake Younger in a No Ropes Ladder Death Match in the main event. With Tessa Blanchard joining the XPW roster, it is supposedly going to become a lot stronger and a lot more presentable to the mainstay audiences.

Tessa Blanchard will finally be wrestling in USA territory

Except for a couple of one-off appearances in indie shows, Tessa Blanchard has been out of the ring since she left Impact Wrestling in June 2020. After no-showing tapings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she was stripped of the Impact World Championship. She was set to return for performing with Women Of Wrestling, but a reported fall-out with the promotion in early 2022, wiped out those chances.

After that, Tessa Blanchard was announced to be working some of the tour dates with Canadian Wrestling’s Elite in May. There could be alterations in those appearances with this new signing with XPW affirming some high-profile appearances for the women’s wrestler in the near future.

Tessa Blanchard’s signing with XPW has surely generated buzz among wrestling fans for all the right reasons. It’s a totally win-win situation for the wrestler who will be able to compete in the United States, again. The daughter of Tully Blanchard was literally barred from competing after several allegations of bullying and racism were made against her in 2020. However, in recent times she appeared to have called a truce with the woman who pointed a finger at her.
