What To Expect From This Week’s WWE Raw: January 1, 2018 1

Following last week’s episode of WWE Raw which was hosted live for the first-time in the evening of Christmas, tonight, WWE will be kicking things off for the year 2018. In the very first night of the year, we will be witnessing an epic night with multiple big matches in-store for us. The reigning universal Champion, Brock Lesnar will grace the show to headline whereas John Cena will also be present.

Apart from that there will two separate title matches to be contested. The Cruiserweight Championship will be defended by Enzo Amore. Roman Reigns will also defend the Intercontinental title in a special environment which will not be in his favor. All of these will be coming up tonight on WWE Raw that will be hosted by the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.

Any of the appearance made by Brock Lesnar is a must watch for the fans. This time around he would be looking forward to unleashing his wrath for getting frustrated with the fact that he will be forced to defend his title in a triple threat contest. It is likely that someone from the flagship show will feel the wrath of the beast as per WWE.com,

“It was in this very building that Lesnar returned to WWE back in 2012, obliterating John Cena with an F-5 that set the dominant tone for the rest of his career to date. As The Beast prepares to defend his title against Braun Strowman and Kane at the Royal Rumble event on Sunday, Jan. 28, will another Superstar face his fury in this building on Raw?”

Roman Reigns will defend his IC title against Samoa Joe for two weeks in a row. This time, if he decides to disqualify himself by attacking his opponent, he will lose his title. It is certain that the odds are stacked against him as The Bar would also be present to provide the distraction for the champion. Hence, it is likely that a title change might happen on the very first edition of WWE Raw in 2018.

We have not heard about Paige’s condition following the injury sustained in the house show, last week. Hopefully, she is doing well by now with no further serious fallout noted. Hence, we can expect her to show up on Raw to continue her dominance. Also, we should couple of names who will enter into the Royal Rumble match.

In the Cruiserweight title match, Cedric Alexander is not likely to win the championship, tonight. Enzo Amore is considered to be the one who runs the show and will not get rid of the title with the Wrestlemania season coming up. Plus, Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan will have a tough time, going forward after winning the tag team championships, last week.
