After weeks of speculations and teases around Bray Wyatt’s return to WWE programming, it finally happened at Extreme Rules 2022. All those Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” and QR codes about the “Three Little Pigs” fairy tale culminated during the main event segment of the evening as the white rabbit was revealed to be none other than The Eater of the Worlds.
The Fight Pit Match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins served as the main event of Extreme Rules 2022 after which the lights went out, and “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” started playing in the arena. People dressed as the Firefly Funhouse puppets were seen in the crowd while a Fiend mask appeared on the announce table.

Also, a person dressed as The Fiend appeared in the crowd. A video of the Firefly Funhouse played before the Firefly Funhouse door opened and Bray Wyatt appeared under a new mask with a lantern in his hands, like his initial days in the WWE. Before Extreme Rules 2022 went off the air, Wyatt took the mask off to confirm his identity. He then blew out the lantern, and said, “I’m here” before warning the WWE Universe.

Extreme Rules 2022: WWE always teased Bray Wyatt’s arrival at PLE
Going into Extreme Rules 2022, it was reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, that white rabbit masks were handed out to the fans along with flyers and puzzles. People were also dressed outside of the arena in white rabbit costumes in hope of the revelation. During this week’s Smackdown, a vignette aired with October 8 written on it suggesting something big was going to happen at the premium live event.
Extreme Rules 2022 marked the first time that Wyatt was last seen in a WWE ring since WrestleMania 37, where he lost to Randy Orton. He was then released from his WWE contract on July 31, 2021. During his first tenure with the WWE, he became an overall three-time world champion (one-time WWE Champion and a two-time WWE Universal Champion).
Rumors of Wyatt’s return were picked up after Triple H took over the charges of WWE creative following Vince McMahon’s resignation from the post in late July of this year. Now that he’s back on board, the pro-wrestling fraternity has been expressing their excitement on social media.
