WWE Premium Live Events are no more exclusive to United States fans over the past few years. For a majority part of the history of the WWE, these events were majorly held around the USA under the name of pay-per-view events. But things changed as WWE started touring with their roster for these televised shows around the United Kingdom, Australia, and Saudi Arabia.
During the Q2 Earnings Call, WWE Co-CEO Nick Khan revealed that Clash At The Castle, the latest WWE premium live event has been planned in the UK on September 3rd due to the strong TV ratings for WWE’s shows in the United Kingdom. Nick also noted that they have their sights set on India and Australia as well.

With Australia already receiving two such WWE Premium Live Events in the past, chances are high that India could be the front-runner to get such huge WWE Network Specials in the near future. A big event in the subcontinent has always been speculated and now, the officials have taken it under consideration.
United Kingdom Possibly Hosting WWE Wrestlemania PLE, Shortly
India possibly receiving WWE Premium Live Event
Since WWE has the biggest fanbase in India, a WWE Official said the following about the same a few years ago,
“India is one of our top international markets. In terms of audience size, it is our largest.
Something like 89 million Indians watched WrestleMania 33, 50 million Indians watch RAW and SmackDown every week (on Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 1 HD). Sunday Dhamaal has 25 million tuning in.
Those are numbers greater than any other international markets we have.”
A big WWE pay-per-view / WWE premium live event had taken place in Australia before (Global Warning in 2002 and the most recent one being Super ShowDown in 2018 setting a record from the Melbourne Cricket Ground). But they have never done a PPV/PLE in India. So the Indian fanbase could soon expect to receive some good news.
Prior to this, WWE has only held untelevised Live Events in India, with the latest one taking place in December 2017. Bringing a WWE Premium Live Event in India would garner tons of attention on the product and thereby bringing more viewers to the programming through the Sony Ten Network.
