In the first match of this year’s Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship. Despite many believing that he’s the actual favorite to come up with the win considering his past records, the King of Claymore Country prevailed in a short but impactful match. That doesn’t mean the former WCW franchise player is missing WrestleMania.
Goldberg is in the middle of a money deal with WWE until 2022 confirming that he would be seen in at least two matches, per year. Following Royal Rumble, he has one more match to go in 2021. WWE officials do want to stack up the WrestleMania 37 match-card as much as possible with big names and the legendary wrestler could be a fitting option.
Since it will be a two-night show with physical fans, live in attendance, WWE wants Goldberg to be in action at the Show of Shows as he’s always a marquee attraction. WWFOldSchool has been reporting that there have been discussions about the former Universal Champion potentially taking on Riddle in a contest at WrestleMania 37.
Riddle has been on a rant on Goldberg
The RAW roster member has been bad-mouthing the WWE Hall of Famer for a couple of years now. While this feud has been well-documented, fans never got to see it on TV. Now that Goldberg has feuded with McIntyre about “respect”, this upcoming match would be perfectly fitting at this point. There are more reasons behind WWE arranging this match.

Since Goldberg lost his last two matches (to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 – Night 1 and to Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble 2021), WWE is willing to bring him back to the winning side as he would eventually be back to put over WWE’s Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, perhaps next year.
So Riddle is a perfect name for him in the victim’s list as WWE doesn’t want him to beat any main-eventer name, at this juncture.
Also, many people within the WWE believe that Riddle was given the “okay” from top tier executives to move forward with insults towards Goldberg just because a match is in the pipeline. The Myth is also reportedly “in” to be in this “long term feud,” as well.
So whenever WrestleMania buildup reaches its peak, we can expect the veteran superstar to be back on TV and seek redemption against Riddle on Raw culminating a huge match on Raw.
