Goldberg is stretching out his professional wrestling career at the 50+ age since he has to cover up a 13-year of absence from his heyday. He’s already been a legend in the pro-wrestling business, mainly due to his run with the WCW. At that point, he has the least appreciation skill available for the sport which he recently regretted. If that was not the case, we must’ve seen him in more matches.
The last time we have seen Goldberg inside the squared circle was against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia on February 19. That was a dream match where both the competitors gave it their all and ultimately Roman retained his title by passing his opponent out with his guillotine chokehold submission. Now, a rematch can be expected.

While speaking with Bleacher Report, Goldberg talked about his dream match against WWE’s Tribal Chief. Apparently, the loss still ate up the legend and he made it clear that he wants a rematch with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
“It doesn’t eat at me by any stretch of the imagination, but it eats at me, 100 percent. Roman and I were on a collision course for a long period of time. It never happened when it would have been the best, but to say anyone that beats me doesn’t deserve to have their a** kicked afterward, I’d be a liar if I said anything other than that.”

Goldberg last wrestled in WWE in February 2022
Following the loss to Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in February, there have been uncertainties around Goldberg continuing his career in the WWE given his growing age. At the same time, his contract with the WWE has been over which led to some uncertainty over the future of the former Universal Champion.
Some of the outlets have already reported that the WWE Hall of Famer could be done with the company and had subsequently become a free agent. But, then in an interview, Goldberg confirmed that he’s still under a deal with the WWE and a couple of more matches could still be expected considering his great shape.
Prior to the last match in Saudi Arabia, Goldberg teased his in-ring retirement with the following comments on social media, “I’ve got a job to do and it could be my last in a WWE ring.”
However, the former WCW franchise player seems to be ready for another match and it could be against Roman Reigns. We’ll have to wait and see whether WWE will allow him off to go up against the poster boy of the company in the near future.
