Wrestling in the WWE has been a dream job for Chelsea Green since starting her journey in the pro-wrestling business. After a long wait, she finally got onboard with the company in 2018 but that stint didn’t end on a successful note. In fact, the bombshell WWE Diva was let go from her contract amid the COVID-19 budget cuts.

Eventually, WWE called her back on the roster in early 2023 and now she can call herself a champion. This has been a long and fulfilling journey for Chelsea Green who admittedly believes that she deserves this accolade after going through so much turmoil in and out of the WWE to become a wrestler.

The Cavinder Twins To Regularly Appear On WWE NXT From Late 2023?

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Chelsea Green shared her first in-depth reaction after finally winning gold in WWE, the place where she was initially considered to be a misfit. Hence, the title win didn’t make her emotional but from her fighting spirits, it seemed to be a solid comeback as she snatched the opportunity rather than getting handed anything.

“I more so was standing there [after the match] thinking, ‘Yeah, of course, I did it, of course, I did it. I’ve been working at this for nine years. I have been fired from WWE numerous times, before you guys even knew I was fired, I was fired. I have been kicked off of WWE property so many times during ‘Tough Enough,’ during tryouts, all sorts of things. I deserve this, okay?” Chelsea Green stated that this title win was her vindication.

“I deserve this championship and not only that, I went and made a name for myself outside of WWE and I became someone that was undeniable to them. That wasn’t just me sitting in my pool.”

WWE Smackdown: Title Defense Set For IYO SKY On September 22 Episode

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville won women’s tag team titles on Raw

As seen on the July 17 episode of WWE Raw, the Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley attacked the-then WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez backstage and hurt her knee. This came after Raquel came in aid of Ripley’s opponents over the past couple of weeks. Despite being hurt, Raquel was ready to go ahead with the scheduled Women’s Tag Team Title defense with Liv Morgan against Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville.

The idea backfired as the challengers dominated Raquel, taking advantage of her injury. The behemoth was put down outside the ring after which it was Chelsea Green who connected with Unpretty-Her finisher followed by Deville’s sliding knee to pin Morgan and become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions. This also marked maiden title win experiences for both the new champs.
