WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley recently arrived in Hyderabad, India and she was seemingly looking ahead to perform at WrestleMania 40. As many would assume, she is really hoping to compete against Becky Lynch and possibly defeat her to retain the title.

Speaking with India Today ahead of WWE Superstar Spectacle 2023, Rhea Ripley addressed the possibility of feuding with The Man in time for Wrestlemania 40 to set up a big match at the Showcase of Immortals,
“I expect a huge challenge from the Man, Becky. She has definitely made a name for herself in this company… But at the end of the day, when you step in the ring with Mami, it’s a whole different sort of challenge.”

Moving on in the conversation, The Nightmare was seemingly ready to experience her mega bout against the only co-Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion in WWE history at the grandest stage,
“If it were to be myself and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40, you know, I, I invite that challenge… I would like to see what the outcome would be. I would love to step in the ring with her. I think it would be a great challenge.”
Wrestlemania 40: WWE yet to announce an official match for the PLE
WWE WrestleMania 40 will take place on April 6, and April 7 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which marks the fifth two-night event in a row starting from 2020. This will be the second WrestleMania hosted in the City of Brotherly Love following WrestleMania 15 in 1999.
While no matches or superstars have been locked in for Wrestlemania 40, a previous report from WrestleVotes via GiveMeSport hinted that the highly-anticipated rematch between Rhodes and Reigns is “on the table” to main event the show slated from Philadelphia. The idea of this anticipated rematch has been nurtured since Reigns controversially defeated Rhodes at Wrestlemania 39 via interferences from The Bloodline members.
