WWE creative team must be having relief knowing the fact that Alexa Bliss has been able to come back to in-ring competition after missing a significant amount of time. A concussion was the main reason behind her hiatus. It also forced her to miss this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match. But she is now back in the championship picture.

This is certainly a piece of good news for the fans of the Goddess as well as WWE. After all, she is one of the most trusted shoulders on the current roster who has the experience of carrying the division on her shoulder. This is why she already has five championship reigns under her name. If luck would be on her side, she might soon make it six.

Alexa Bliss will challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley at Sunday’s WWE Stomping Grounds pay-per-view. While appearing in an interview with TV Insider, the host asked her whether she felt nervous before moving into the competition, again. Alexa Bliss confirmed that she felt nervous at the beginning knowing she was just returning from a concussion. But then again, WWE sent her to Pittsburgh for schooling sessions on concussions. This made her learn small things about the topic which in turn helped her to wrestle in a safe way. Check out her comments, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
“It made me feel a lot better about the whole situation. It made me feel I was in charge of my injury. It made me feel like I understood it. I’m definitely not nervous at all being in the ring. I was at first, but now that I’m educated on the topic and know the steps to take to make sure it doesn’t happen again. With the brain exercises that I do and eye exercises, I feel like I’m more prepared than ever now.”
This particular ongoing title picture has also witnessed Alexa Bliss bonding with Nikki Cross so that she can gain the upper hand against the champion. Cross-Bliss has become quite a regular face on TV that forced the interview host to ask whether she enjoys the company of the former NXT superstar. She came up with an affirmative answer,
“We are just having fun with it. That’s the best part of it. Everything we are doing, interacting, is just us. I think us having reads nicely on camera with our natural chemistry. We’ve been traveling together. It’s always fun when you get along with the person you work with. That can help. We haven’t seen her too much on WWE TV, so if this helps build her character while having fun at the same time, it’s a good situation to be in.”
