WWE let us knew the saddening news of our Goddess not competing at Money in the Bank, this year. Via a social media post, they shared the breaking news that Alexa Bliss is no more in the list of participants for the women’s ladder match. WWE.com followed up with an official statement that informed she ‘is not medically cleared to compete’ on this Sunday night. Hence, the officials had to remove her from one of the main events of Money in the Bank.

The report shocked us to a big extent as Alexa Bliss was present during the buildup for Money in the Bank in these past weeks. In fact, she was one of the favorites to win the match back to back that left chances to make history. So the sudden removal of the 2018 winner of the same match forced to raise eyebrows for many of the fans. It is really strange to sideline perhaps the biggest star from the women’s division lineup.

WWE later came up with the announcements for the replacement of Alexa Bliss at 2019 Money in the Bank. The new ally of the five-time women’s champion, Nikki Cross will be competing on this Sunday night. As we have seen on this past Monday night on Raw, Nikki helped Alexa to climb the ladder and pose with the briefcase hanging high above the ring. It was an automatic choice for the WWE official to insert the former NXT superstar into the lineup without having lesser options available.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted on Alexa Bliss injury with an update. He assured the WWE Universe that the former champion has not re-injured herself. Rather it’s just a precaution to drop from Money in the Bank ladder match just to make sure she does not re-aggravate her previous injury.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com also noted that Alexa Bliss is dealing with a concussion that does not allow her to compete. The extent of her injury is still unknown. But we are hopeful she is not likely to miss a long time due to this. It’s an old neck injury that already forced her to stay out of action for the latter part of 2018. Hopefully, she will be back in action just after Money in the Bank passes by.
