Is It Correct To Host The Shield’s Final Chapter On WWE Network 1

WWE has already removed Dean Ambrose from TV perspective on the post-Wrestlemania episode of Monday Night Raw. But it seems like he is finding more ways to come back on several occasions as part of The Shield. Even after having a farewell session last week in New York, he showed up in Montreal, Canada for another promo session which came as a pleasant surprise.

Now it seems like we will see him performing in another show. As reported by WWE.com, he will take part in a WWE Network special event on this Sunday Night,

“In what will be the groundbreaking faction’s FINAL match together, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns & Universal Champion Seth Rollins will team up for a special event, The Shield’s Final Chapter, streaming LIVE this Sunday, April 21, at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT on WWE Network. Don’t miss the legendary trio’s final ride together in WWE. Also, Finn Bálor will be in action to defend the Intercontinental Championship.”

For those who are wondering, it should be some of the televised segments from the scheduled Live Event. Rather than being the last reunion of The Shield, it should come as a final TV appearance for Dean Ambrose. So what was the point of his farewell speech on Raw?

Also, what was the point of hosting the last-time-ever match on Fastlane 2019? They have also hosted a last time speech session on the March 11th episode of Raw, as well. All of these ‘last time’ sessions have one thing in common and that is to find a way to come back together on multiple occasions. This is really making things stale for the most destructive force in the history of WWE.

Most of the fans are auto invested into the Shield storyline that is ongoing for the last few months. This faction was like an off-guard for the WWE brand itself being the Hounds of Justice. Whenever their music hits, we’ve received goosebumps to see something incredible. WWE is trying to hit the nerves of the fans by playing completely emotional with this ‘last-time ever’ phrase that may have already lost significance.

However, some of the optimistic fans may see something positive in these repeated Shield show-ups. Dean Ambrose is a Lunatic character who always kept his contract details under mystery. For now, he is leaving the company after denying to re-sign with WWE. But could these emotional scenes force him to change his mind, through a storyline basis? For me, it’d be a big NO. Even reports do not suggest that he is willing to do so, either. As for the rest, only Ambrose knows what his next step is going to be. We only hope that he will get a grand farewell on this upcoming Sunday Night.
