Vince McMahon introduced the Wild Card Rule mainly for one specific person alongside the other roster members. He is none other than Roman Reigns who is the poster boy of the WWE. Officially, he is part of the Smackdown Live roster following the Superstar Shakeup. But this brand new rule is allowing him to appear on Monday Night Raw, as well on a regular basis.

Roman Reigns was not active on the roster for the later part of 2018 as he was dealing with Leukemia. He may have come back within five months to feature in Wrestlemania, but WWE did not use him in full force considering his health. That was until now when he has to pull up the TV ratings by appearing on both Monday and Tuesdays.
So is it hectic for The Big Dog to pull off double duties? He made a response to the question during an interview with Phillip Martinez of Newsweek before his big match on June 7 at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia against Shane McMahon. Roman Reigns also expounded upon his view on his first-time match against the younger McMahon.

WWE May End Brand Split If Wild Card Rule Does Not Work
Speaking of appearing on both WWE Raw and Smackdown Live, Roman Reigns confirmed it’s extremely tough. Attending both the shows in different cities on consecutive nights takes out a lot from his body. But if that what the company needs him to do, he will continue doing it, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
“It’s tough work. It takes special people to do this kind of stuff. I’m cut from a different fabric. I’ve always been someone who can handle this type of workload. To be honest, I feel good. We’re all human and we all want to feel needed. If I’m here to help the team and that’s my role, then that’s what I’m going to do. I was out so I wanted to get back and help the team. So if that’s what’s needed out of me I’ll do everything to the best of my ability to get the job done.”
Speaking of McMahon, Roman Reigns talked about the excitement of facing him at Super ShowDown. He is an authority figure representing the McMahons who’s lately been acting like a “spoiled rich kid.” This TV character has become quite interesting in terms of being a heel who will take on the prime babyface figure. This has been a lot of fun for Reigns, till now,
“Shane is an authority figure but like I said Monday night he’s a spoiled rich kid. He’s out here trying to play with his dad’s toys. It’s funny to me, it’s not being in there with Vince or with Stephanie he’s a different character and we’ve all known that dude in high school. In your head, you’re just like ‘screw this guy.’ He may have thrown the party but he’s the biggest douche in the room.”
