Jeff Hardy has a worldwide fanbase of his own due to his unique persona. The interesting thing is that he started his career, more than two decades ago who is still going strong. Only a few like Randy Orton is still making regular appearances on WWE programming despite spending two decades in this business. It’s quite a tough job to do but he’s doing it effectively.

Interestingly, one of the fans of Jeff Hardy is none other than Hulk Hogan. These two have been involved in a program in TNA during their run in the Immortal faction. Since that time, The Hulkster is said to be having a special place in his heart for the former world champion and the incredibly agile superstar.

During a recent episode of 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff explained that Hulk Hogan was the one to originate the idea of the Immortal stable. He immediately wanted Jeff Hardy to be a part of the group. That faction eventually witnessed a number of superstars come and go. But Hardy stuck to the group from the stable’s creation on October 10th, 2010 to March 17th, 2011.

“That was Hulk’s idea, as well as creating this faction called Immoral. Hulk was a huge, huge fan of Jeff Hardy. In fact, when Hulk and I first started talking about going into TNA and actually signing with them, it was one of the first things Hulk started talking about was, ‘man, we got to get Jeff Hardy back.’ A close second to that was Ric Flair.” (Quotes courtesy Wrestling Inc)

The original members of that faction were Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, and Abyss. Later Fortune and Gunner along with many more have been added. The interesting thing is that Hardy made such an impression on Hogan that he proposed his name to the creative in person.

While Matt Hardy left WWE, last year, Jeff Hardy still holds a multi-year contract with the company. He still has some specific goals in mind before finishing his career. Hardy made it clear during an interview with Sports Illustrated that he plans on winning both WWE Championship and Universal Championship over the next four years. Plus, he also wishes to be a part of WrestleMania main-event, at least once before 2024.
