Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross who is currently active as a colour commentator for the All Elite Wrestling promotion recently gave his opinion on why Vince McMahon kept bringing back Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan first arrived in WWE back in 1979 and worked in the promotion for one year. He did not earn any recognition during this period of his WWE career. In 1983 WWE decided to break him back for the second time. This was not only his best time in the promotion but in his whole career. This was the time when he became Hulkamania.

Jim Ross Reveals Why Vince McMahon Keeps Bringing Back Hulk Hogan
He worked for a decade in WWE and in 1993 he left the promotion to join WCW and worked for seven years. In 2002 he made his return to WWE for the third time in his career and even at this stage he was winning the WWE championship. Even though this returned was a short lived he had some excellent feuds, one of them was with Vince McMahon himself.
His fourth return occurred in 2014 after he had a four year long career in TNA Wrestling. Even though this return of him in WWE was not as a wrestler and that was for the first time. He made some sporadic appearances for the promotion and to leave again in 2015. In 2018 he made his return for the fifth time in WWE and he still present in the promotion.

Jim Ross who is currently active as a colour commentator for the All Elite Wrestling promotion recently spoke on his 83 Weeks Podcast where he gave his opinion on why Vince McMahon kept bringing back Hulk Hogan. He said;
“Vince kept trying to recreate the dynamic that Vince had with Hogan, hence all the saw second chances, next starts and Hall of Fame. Here’s another reason we can bring him back, etc, etc. Vince kept trying to recreate that idyllic relationship they once had.”
“They were not willing to say, ‘We can never have it the way we used to, but we can have it better than we have it now if we both try.’ That was always where the jury was out. Is this going to work out? Are we going to get to where we want to be?

“Is somebody in this equation willing to compromise something? That was what the issue was, compromise, because when you get to compromising and you change things, the talents say, ‘Well the compromise is making me weak’, but you have to give it a chance.
“If the glass is always half empty, it’s always going to be half empty, so you have to look at it differently.
“I felt bad for Vince at times because he really wanted the relationship to get back on somewhat of an even-keel. It may not be what it used to be, but he wanted to make it better than what it is, and I’m not sure we accomplished that.”
