Jimmy Uso has been trending in the professional wrestling circuit due to his arrest incident. As reported earlier, this past Monday night in Pensacola, Florida, he was arrested again for a DUI. He was stopped by police for running a red light while also speeding his car above the guidelines. The SmackDown star was also in a drunken state.
Jimmy Uso failed sobriety tests that led him to spend a night in jail before getting bailed out, the next morning under a $500 bond. Initial reports claimed that while no immediate action was taken by WWE against him for the arrest, some of the higher-ups were reportedly “extremely disappointed and legitimately pis*ed off” for this kind of repeated action.
Update On WWE’s Feeling About Jimmy Uso’s DUI Arrest
There were some concerns over his presence on TV, after the arrest but on Friday Night SmackDown, Jimmy Uso was presented on the show who made thorough appearances on SmackDown. This clearly pointed out that WWE decided not to take any action against him. Rather, they will continue to feature him on television in the Universal Championship storyline between Roman Reigns and Edge.

Jimmy Uso should be involved in The Rock-Roman Reigns angle
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that WWE creative team must have had some important plans that are too important to adjust. At this point, they just don’t want to get rid of it which could be the reason why there doesn’t seem to be fallout from what happened with Jimmy Uso. Dave Meltzer was told “nothing’s happening” at the moment in regards to a fine or suspension to the former tag champ.
Currently, he is involved in the main event storyline on SmackDown involving the Universal Champion and WWE’s Tribal Chief. Meltzer speculated since Jimmy Uso is involved in this major angle, it’s hard to sideline him. Plus, this storyline could eventually include The Rock at WrestleMania. So WWE doesn’t want to make changes to it.
The current speculation is that they are heading toward a potential match between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Rock at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Next year’s WrestleMania is scheduled on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas while WrestleMania 39 is set for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on April 2, 2023. The dream match is likely to go down in any of these two editions of Mania.
