John Cena was the poster figure of the WWE for almost 15 years before finally following his predecessor The Rock to become a Hollywood megastar. Once that transition to be a part-timer happened, Roman Reigns took that baton to carry the load for the WWE. The company eventually went on to establish him as an invincible figure over the past few years.

The Tribal Chief has been the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for almost 1000 days and hasn’t also been pinned for over 3 years which is a tremendous accolade. En route to greatness, he has beaten every top superstar in the business, including the likes of The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Triple H, Edge, and even John Cena.

While speaking with the AP News, the Cenation Leader himself threw praise on the longest-reigning WWE Universal Champion by acknowledging him as the Greatest of All-Time. Per John Cena’s thoughts, Reigns should be in the conversation for the title which automatically makes him the GOAT,

“But when I’m there as a performer, it’s Roman Reigns’ show. In my mind, he needs to be in the conversation, and in my mind, he’s the greatest of all time.”

Some would find dispute in John Cena’s opinion since Reigns remains one of the most polarizing figures of the WWE. Along with himself, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair are just a few names who are always in the conversation to be the GOAT. But then again, opinions do vary from person to person.

Roman Reigns has been involved in a highly anticipated feud in the past where he even defeated John Cena in two pay-per-view bouts. He first defeated him at No Mercy 2017 without any title involved in it. Later, the outcome was the same in the main event of SummerSlam 2021 when the bout was contested over the WWE Universal Championship.

John Cena was asked about Vince McMahon and the hush money allegations against him during this same interview. The former Golden Goose of the WWE made it clear that no matter what he will always have love and respect for the WWE head honcho and that everyone makes mistakes,

“No. I mean, everyone has the right to have their perspective. I have the right to have mine. When you love somebody, you take them as imperfectly perfect as they are. We all make mistakes, we all have poor decisions. Lord knows I’ve made my collection of poor choices. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to love somebody. There’s no way I can go on record and say I don’t love Vince McMahon.”
