WWE Universe along with WWE Creative had a massive blow after hearing Cena’s surgery news earlier this week which is to keep him away sidelined from the squared circle from 6 to 9 months. Cena’s surgery was scheduled in Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday.
As published in WWE.com, Cena has undergone a successful surgery to heel his problematic shoulder as scheduled. WWE has posted this photo in their Twitter account.

As per the reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the injury is from torn rotator cuff or torn labrum. Cena was joined by his training partner Cesaro in the operation theatre who is also out due to a shoulder injury.
No detail news and further updates about Cena’s medical condition were published in WWE.com and no clues whatsoever were given about his return. The backstage news is that the shoulder surgery was Cena’s first priority and he wanted to get it done to the earliest. Apparently, the shoulder is getting him into more trouble in the past years.

The prescribed nagging time for injuries like this is minimum six months but considering Cena’s knack to get healed at the earliest from the injuries, as we had seen over the past, it is quite safe to say that he may show up before Wrestlemania 32 at the right moment.

As of now the rumor mill will be buzzing about his return at Wrestlemania 32 as WWE will like to present the franchise somehow at the biggest event of the year but all depends on the condition of his shoulder.
There is no schedule for him as of now in the upcoming live events and Wrestlemania and hopefully, WWE will address his situation as soon as he starts rehabilitation.
