WWE star and a former WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Kevin Owens who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently talked about headlining WrestleMania 38 along with Stone Cold Steve Austin and said it was unbelievable for him.
Kevin Owens actually created history at WrestleMania 38 when he walked inside the ring along with one of the best in the history of professional wrestling, the Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin himself. It was actually a dream come true moment for all the professional wrestling fans and it had been a special moment for Owens as well.
Kevin Owens Says It Was “Unbelievable” For Him To Headline WrestleMania 38
It was earlier rumord that Austin is coming back into action but lot of fans were not ready to believe the humour since he was already passed his 55 and he was out of action for nearly 2 decades. But the impossible actually came into reality. The rattlesnakes Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to action after 19 years and that is also at the grandest stage of them all.
The storyline was quite well built up as well. Kevin Owens was desperate for a WrestleMania 38 booking and he was feeling to get a booking after he lost the Tag Team Championship opportunity before the Showcase of the Immortals. So he decided to invite Steve Austin in the KO Show segment at WrestleMania 38 which was eventually accepted by Austin.
The segment was booked as the main event of night 1 of WrestleMania 38. When the duo started to talk to each other, Owens shocked the world when he challenged Austin in a No Holds Barred one on one match.
Austin even shocked the world more when he accepted the challenge. Everybody thought Owens might have to carry the whole match but no such thing happened in fact we got a great performance from Austin as well. Ultimately this match will be rememberd as the last match of Austin.
Kevin Owens who is also a former three times WWE United States champion recently spoke to WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves where he talked about headlining WrestleMania 38 along with Stone Cold Steve Austin and said it was unbelievable for him. He said;
“Well, it’s all downhill from here, really. I say that with the most optimistic point of view I can have, I mean that in a good way. It was really unbelievable, it’s still unbelievable.
“Sometimes I’ll have my moments where I’m not doing anything, I’m just kind of sitting around and I’ll just pull it up on my phone and I’ll specifically watch the moment where the ref rings the bell and I still can’t believe it happened. It’s really hard to process what happened, honestly. It’s hard to put into words.”
“I don’t know what tops this, what can top it? You tell me, if you can figure one out.”
