Kofi Kingston had the most incredible title reign in the WWE in 2019, perhaps.
Similar to Daniel Bryan’s Yes-o-Mania back in 2014, Kofi was able to recreate Kofi-mania around the fans on the occasion of WrestleMania 35.
An entire army of fans backed him up to bring the very best out of him and end a long wait of 11 years. For the first time in his career, Kofi Kingston picked up the WWE Championship by defeating Daniel Bryan.

The run continued for almost six months following that month before Brock Lesnar conquered him like a true beast.
It was a squash match on the October 4th episode of SmackDown which was also the premiere episode of the show on FOX. Kofi Kingston digested an F-5 from Brock Lesnar to digest the pinfall within just a few seconds.
Lesnar won the title in a record-time and thereby ruined Kofi’s strong status.
Fans were visibly upset with the way WWE chose to end the historic title reign of Kofi Kingston. The superstar with Ghana origin also seems very upset about the way it went down on October 4th episode of SmackDown.
During a recent interview with Alex McCarthy of Talk Sport, the former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston opened up about his title reign.
He mentioned the title loss to the Beast Brock Lesnar as ‘disheartening’. First, he talked about having an illustrious title reign but it was a disappointment to go out there and lose the championship in the quickest way.
That too happened on such an important night on SmackDown history which should remain as a forgettable one for him,
“It was a bit of disappointment to go out there and have it go so quickly. On the biggest night of SmackDown. To have it end like that is a little bit disheartening, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. It’s not like I can do anything about it. “
Being a true champion, Kofi Kingston concluded the interview on a positive note. He mentioned that one has to lose the title after winning it so that he can become a multi-time champion.
He is hopeful about having more reigns in the future. Unfortunately, WWE has completely sidelined him from the main event picture, ever since the title changed hands.
