Brock Lesnar conquered Kofi Kingston in record time to win the WWE Championship on SmackDown premiere on FOX. He delivered an emphatic F-5 on the former champ to win the main event within a few seconds. The crowd was stunned as Lesnar and Heyman were celebrating inside the ring. But they could not guess what was going to happen next.

Rey Mysterio appeared interrupting their celebration with former UFC Heavyweight Cain Velasquez accompanying him into the ring. Cain pounced on Lesnar unloading some big right hands sending the beast for a retreat. Lesnar intended to come back to the ring for more fight but then decided to walk away to close SmackDown. A big match between these two must be in the works in the future to fetch mainstream attention.

WWE booked the biggest box office attraction of their roster to pull up the viewership of the grand debut of SmackDown on the FOX network. This is the safest option that they could potentially have to pull up the biggest rating for the debuting show on Friday nights. Plus, this would also ensure the mainstream appeal of WWE programming which the FOX officials are in desperate need of.

Rumors were running rampant on a potential title change to make the grand debut of SmackDown on FOX, a remarkable one. Brock Lesnar is reportedly going to be the face of the SmackDown brand which is why the title changing hands could be imminent. Either way, Kofi Kingston retaining the title over the beast incarnate seems not happening, at all. WWE.com also hinted the same,

“Friday Night SmackDown on FOX is set to debut in a BIG way. Kofi Kingston is adamant about being a fighting champion, but Brock Lesnar is determined to make the WWE Champion regret that mindset. After The New Day secured a Six-Man Tag Team Match victory over Randy Orton & The Revival, The Beast Incarnate returned to deliver Kingston a challenge and then a brutal F-5. The WWE Championship will be on the line when Friday Night SmackDown heads to FOX as an all-new rivalry emerges.”

In the end, the spoiler turned out to be true but we did not expect to see Cain Velasquez appearing on the scene, right away on SmackDown. There’s no doubt that this man will challenge Brock Lensar for a title match in the future as per earlier spoilers. It’ll be interesting to see when this bout will finally go down.
