Kurt Angle Does Not Think That Vince McMahon Is Fully Retired

McMahon was of course the mastermind behind the success of WWE over WCW during the famous Monday Night Wars of the 1990s. When it started WWE was behind WCW in all aspects. WCW was beating WWE in TV ratings almost every week. But Vince McMahon made the impossible very much possible when he defeated the Mighty WCW, and at the end he purchased his own competition.

WCW was not the only promotion that WWE over powered. A lot of promotions arrived and gone, but the Mighty WWE could never be beaten. There was a time when TNA wrestling was looking like a very strong competitor to WWE. But they would never beat WWE, and we have to give credit to one man behind the success of WWE, that is indeed Vince McMahon.

But when McMahon was on his last days in WWE, he was producing comparatively weaker shows. A lot of fans were frustrated with the product of the promotion. After his retirement, his son in law Triple H took over and he is producing comparatively better shows. Fans have started to be more optimistic since the takeover of Triple H.

Kurt Angle who is a former six times World Champion in WWE and a former six times TNA World Heavyweight champion recently spoke to the Cafe de Rene podcast where he said that he did not want to believe Vince McMahon is fully retired. He said;

“I personally don’t think he’s fully retired. You know Vince, he’s gonna be behind-the-scenes [laughs]. Vince is not letting go of that company, he will not let it go until his hands are dead cold and they pry it out of his cold, dead hands. He’s not letting go of that company until he dies. And that’s just it.”

“And you know, I’m not trying to cause any problems for WWE or for Vince McMahon, because I love Vince to death. But there is no way he is going to let it go. He already set up, you know, Stephanie [McMahon] being in charge and Triple H being in charge of talent relations. He’s got everybody in the right positions so that he could continue to run the show.”
