Since her debut in the WWE, Lacey Evans is mostly known for her Sassy Southern Belle character. Vince McMahon was reportedly high on her back in the days which skyrocketed her popularity to a huge extent. Within months of her debut, she got the opportunity to work with top stars like Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. However, good times for her didn’t last long, after all as WWE failed to give a boost to her strong heel character.
At this point, Lacey Evans is trying to find her foothold on the WWE Smackdown roster for quite some time as the company is literally juggling her between her babyface and heel shades. But in real life, she is in a happy and stable place. The mother of two children has spent 17 years with their father and celebrated the same occasion with an Instagram post.

Lacey Evans shared heartfelt message on Instagram
Lacey Evans stated in the post that she was with her husband Alfonso Estrella-Kadlec since she was 15 years old. The two tied the knot in 2010 and there’ve been no looking back for them. In the below statements, the WWE Superstar spelled out how the two of them have had ups and downs in their life,
“We have been in situations that we let our upbringing get the best of us. We failed to realize our blessings and God’s grace. We failed to realize how far we’ve come and how much we have grown. But the older and happier we get, the more we see the pain, suffering and unhappiness in others. The older we get, the more the anger turns into the ability to have empathy and see how short and precious life is.”
Lacey Evans once had a storyline with Ric Flair
Back in 2021, Lacey Evans was engaged in a high-profile angle with Charlotte Flair where the storyline suggested that Charlotte’s father Ric Flair was also the father of the child Evans was pregnant with. It was done in a kayfabe way as the real father of Evans’ baby was no other than Alfonso, himself and WWE was using the real-life aspect of their programming.
The storyline was eventually dropped after Lacey Evans had to leave WWE programming due to her pregnancy. Her return then came after WrestleMania 38, through a series of vignettes claiming to bring back her Mariner persona. However, with multiple shuffling in characters as well as brands the stint failed miserably.
