The Lady of the WWE was in action on last night’s Smackdown while the internet was surrounded by a bizarre Lacey Evans death rumors. As we are heavily dependent on the Internet since the very beginning of the invention, it’s highly been recommended, “Never trust what you read on the Internet.”
This quote appears to be more than true while Lacey Evans death news got spread through her Wikipedia page. Apparently, a Wikipedia user added the information to her public page saying that she “used to perform on the SmackDown brand under the ring name Lacey Evans before her death.” Since then several outlets picked the same and discussed this Lacey Evans death matter.

Lacey Evans Death: WWE’s Lady Clarifies Strange Rumors On Her Life
Quite obviously, the Lacey Evans death news turned out to be a hoax while it’s still trending on the internet. “The Sassy Southern Belle” then issued a statement on Twitter by commenting, “How did I die though?” that had a thinking emoji accompanied to it.

It was noted that Lacey Evans death news wasn’t the only thing that was wrongly edited. Her Wikipedia page has apparently been provided with false information several times over the past couple of days, which Wikipedia refers to as “vandalism.” This wasn’t a funny thing to do by any measures as the Lady of the WWE is doing well.
While we hope Wikipedia will take preventive measures following this Lacey Evans death rumors, she had to deal with a ‘couple of nasties’ on Smackdown. Nikki Cross defeated her in a singles competition via a DDT followed by the Twisted Neckbreaker. After the match, Alexa Bliss planted Evans with a Sister Abigail, outside the ring.
Thus the burial of a bright talent by the WWE creative team continues as we can only hope the Lacey Evans death hoax was spread by a fan who was referring to her career. Initially, Vince McMahon was said to be a huge fan of her character but that push came to an end in a short period of time.
Lacey Evans was called up from NXT and then got a chance to make a full-fledged WWE main roster debut on the Royal Rumble’s big stage, last year. She has received several title opportunities since then, but WWE hasn’t felt the need to make her the champion, yet. With a military background, she could be a genuine role model for the fans and hopefully, WWE could make good use of her in a babyface role.
