Following her second pregnancy, Lacey Evans made a comeback to WWE Television, sporting a new gimmick. This eventually gave hope for her fans to see her in a prominent role on WWE TV. But sadly for them and the WWE Smackdown Superstar, herself, nothing really changed around her. Vince McMahon-led regime was blamed for misusing her but things haven’t changed even after Triple H took things over.
Without a doubt, Lacey Evans is one of the most captivating storytellers on the WWE roster. Since the very beginning, the former Marine has proven her ability to be a dynamic talent in the ring who also possesses incredible in-ring talents. Moreover, she showed excellence in portraying both babyface and heel characters which have been another great attribute of her character.

However, this set of skills hasn’t really helped her much in WWE career. It’s no secret that WWE never found a way to book her properly over the past several years and it appears a former WWE booker isn’t happy with this. Lack of creativity in her booking was blasted by veteran Jim Cornette.
Jim Cornette has high hopes about Lacey Evans’ in-ring character
While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru podcast, the show host talked about Lacey Evans’ current state in WWE. Cornette was simply not happy with how poorly WWE treated this talent who had all the tools to be in the same league of top champions in the WWE, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley.
“She’s great, she’s got the size, she looks great. She has the demeanor and the facials. She can talk like a b**ch. What a great heel she’s been,” Cornette praised Lacey Evans.
“And then she disappeared again. And stop and start, back and forth. I don’t know. I don’t know what the problem has been, I don’t know why they have stopped and started this girl and gave her umpteen different personalities. It’s the most baffling thing I’ve ever seen.
She would be a no-brainer of anybody on the WWE female roster. Past Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, Lacey Evans is the one that I would take next trying to figure out something to do with.”
Lacey Evans remained direction-less in the WWE
After returning to WWE television last year in April following Wrestlemania 38, Lacey Evans has gone through numerous changes in brands and gimmicks changes and fans often complained about these changes eventually killing her momentums. The former Sassy Southern Belle was last seen on the March 24 episode of Friday Night Smackdown, where she and Xia Li lost to Natalya and Shotzi in a tag team bout.
