Lana was released from the WWE roster despite being a regular name on TV. Over the past couple of months, WWE has been releasing several employees from their headquarters including WWE Superstars and the Monday Night RAW roster member was amongst them. Alongside her, female Superstars such as Chelsea Green and Mickie James were also let go of the contract.
The likes of Braun Strowman and Lana are quite the big names to make exit from the WWE as they were original stars produced by the company. It was bound to raise eyebrows. The assumption is that they were let go due to their lucrative contract with WWE, which they signed back in 2019. Back then, we were in the pre-COVID-19 era and the situation was pretty different.
Lana Says, “It’s Hot And Delicious” On Her Upcoming WWE Release Info
While speaking on the Talk Is Jericho podcast, Lana recently took several shots at the WWE. She also revealed a story from the final Big-Four PPV of last year. WWE initially had planned a table spot for her during last year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. It would have seen Nia Jax putting her through the announce table, continuing a spree.

However, the reigning Universal Champion Roman Reigns didn’t want the spot to happen as there was going to be another spot involving the announce table in his match against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. The Tribal Chief filed complaints about the dual spots to the creative team and that spot involving Lana got removed.
“We were supposed to do this whole table spot on the show. And then Roman did not want, ’cause he had a table spot with (Drew McIntyre). So there was some major pushback. The Samoans, Nia, and Roman, you know, that whole thing,” Lana continued.
“Like, oh my god I’m caught in the middle of this drama. And so, we had a huge spot. Like I was supposed to be laid out in the very beginning. I was supposed to get in the ring and Nia snatch me, ’cause the whole point was everyone on the team were heels and I was the only ‘babyface’ and they’re gonna be all against me, and she was gonna lay me out.”
Survivor Series 2020 was still a memorable occasion for Lana who would end up being the sole survivor for Team RAW to win the traditional tag team match defeating team SmackDown. The belief was that WWE was about to give her a push in the due course. However, that was never the case as she lost opportunities to become Women’s tag champ. Eventually, she was released from the company.
