Lana entered the WWE as someone who had the least experience in professional wrestling coming off a Hollywood background. She utilized her skills to bring out an entertaining TV character as long as she was there in the company. The memorable stint in WWE also saw her trying to phase out as an entertainer in order to become a wrestler.

During her last run with the WWE in late 2020, Lana originally planned to win her first championship in the WWE as a top babyface superstar. It largely involved her feuding with Nia Jax and getting put through the announcer’s table, week after week made her look incredibly strong. However, her stint eventually had to end due to budget cuts in June 2021.

Lana didn’t want to blame Surreal Life for her WWE release

In an interview with Wrestling Inc Editor Nick Hausman, Lana discussed her time inside The Surreal Life house. Apparently, it was just a day before the WWE release happened that she got the offer to join the television reality series. WWE Officials did know that the reality TV star could be on her way to the show’s house for a 14-day-long stay.

Hausman asked Lana whether this could be the reason that WWE let her go of the contract in reply to which she stated the following,

“No, no. Don’t stir my pot and make me overthink things. I just took it as that they were doing budget cuts, and probably no one had my back in the room. And that’s just how it goes. It’s a checklist. You have to… If they have to make cuts for deliverables, it’s just, we’re a spreadsheet. I looked at it as kind of the opposite. Instead of being like, “Oh, is this the reason?” I was like, “No, the universe has got my back, and I’m good.”

As the conversation progressed, Lana made it clear that she hopes to be back in wrestling territory in the near future. Previously, she hoped to join her husband Miro in AEW rather than coming back to WWE and hopefully that wish of hers will become a reality.
