As reported earlier, Lana was recently released from the WWE roster along with other five superstars that appeared to be a major shocker for the fans. It seems that she was let go of the WWE contract because of the lucrative deal she used to possess with the company. She signed that contract back in 2019 which was intact for the next five years. But thereafter, WWE was looking forward to cutting down on their budget as much as possible.
As a result, almost sixty employees including the corporate members and roster members were released from the WWE contract in early 2020, the beginning of the pandemic. Earlier this month, WWE held yet another round of cuts from the company and it featured several big names such as Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Chelsea Green, and Mickie James.
Ex WWE Star Lana Celebrates National Bikini Day; Back On Cameo
Lana is now free from WWE and she seems to be very happy about it, just like her husband. She took to her Instagram and uploaded a video where she promised to ‘spill the tea’ on WWE release in a series of YouTube videos. Additionally, she also had some strong words to say for Vince McMahon.
Lana determined to achieve success post-WWE career
For now, Lana revealed that she cried a lot after receiving the call regarding the release while her husband did a cartwheel. The ex WWE Superstar also said she has a lot of unsettled business who does not want to give up pro wrestling due to tons of attachment with it. The Ravishing Russian certainly doesn’t want to be a billionaire like WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. Also, she doesn’t want anyone else to determine her destiny.
“I have a lot of unsettled business, I don’t want to give up what I love so much. I love wrestling, I really love wrestling. I cried a lot about it because I don’t want any person to determine my destiny, not a billionaire, not a Vince McMahon, not anyone. I’m very thankful for the opportunities I was given by Vince McMahon but no one’s going to determine my destiny,” Lana stated.
We will have to see just what Lana will have to offer about WWE where she had spent about seven years. We also wonder whether she will go to AEW to reunite with her husband Miro on TV, again. The TNT Champion is already pulling the plug on the happening. The blonde-head Diva will become a free agent on Tuesday, August 31 when her 90-day non-compete clause expires after which the next career move will be made clear.
