John Cena is synonymous with the WWE and he’s often considered to be the greatest of all time by many fans. Residing on top of the world of professional wrestling for almost 15 years, he went to Hollywood to become an overall pop culture icon. Following the path of The Rock, he’s trying to have a successful career in Hollywood.
However, John Cena is and always will be a WWE Superstar whom the fans do want to see making a WWE return. According to Brad Shepard on his Unleashed Patreon, the multi-time WWE Champion is currently scheduled to return to WWE programming in late June.

June 27 will mark the 20th anniversary of Cena’s WWE TV debut and hence, it’s possible that WWE would be bringing him back for a celebration,
“I spoke with a source in WWE today, and they told me John Cena is expected back in late-June of this year.”
John Cena is definitely not one with his WWE career
Shepard has broken several stories in the past and his revelation also falls in line with John Cena’s comments on The Ellen Show that he is not done with WWE,
“I will tell you and everybody watching, I’m not done with WWE by a long shot. That’s my home, I love it.
I was able to go back during the summer for a few months and entertain audiences when they welcomed audiences back to arenas, so I’m far from my last performance.”

There’s no update on what WWE has in store for John Cena upon that comeback and whether it will be a one-off night only for him. Given that Summerslam would be just more than a month away from June 27, the company’s creative team may just want to book him in a storyline if his movie schedule allows him to feature on TV.
In 2021, John Cena made a shocking return at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view to get involved in a feud with Roman Reigns. The two featured in the main event of WWE SummerSlam for the Universal Championship, where Reigns won to pack his opponent back to Hollywood. But after the loss, Cena would take to social media and inform the fans that he will see them soon.
