Since appearing at the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match, WWE Hall of Famer Lita has been a frequent attendant of WWE programming. Eventually, she became a regular feature on Raw TV, earlier this year as she returned to help Becky Lynch in the latter’s feud with DAMAGE CTRL buddies. The stint also led her to become the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Lynch.

After performing at Wrestlemania 39 of this year, Lita was betrayed and attacked by her bestie Trish Stratus to get written off WWE TV. This happened before she and Lynch got a solo chance to defend those titles. She has been injured in a kayfabe way and got to be a part of the ongoing feud between Lynch and Trish Stratus.

However, it seems like, the veteran is not returning to WWE TV, anytime soon as she’s made an indie show appearance. It happened at the recent independent wrestling event in Oakland, California. Hosted under the banner of Hoodslam, Lita appeared under her real name of Amy Dumas to help independent star Dark Sheik in her match against Jack Cartwheel.

While the referee was distracted, Lita entered the ring and low-blowed Cartwheel. This allowed Sheik to roll up her opponent and pick up the victory. This wasn’t the first time that the former women’s champion was attending a Hoodslam event but this time, it took place during her kayfabe hiatus in the WWE which suggests that she might no more be under a deal with the company.

With the recent insertion of Zoey Stark as Trish Stratus’ ally in her feud against Lynch, some have speculated that Lita could be returning to Lynch’s corner to evening the odds in the near future. But that may not be likely at this point. However, Trish vs. Lynch will reportedly continue through Summerslam which keeps the door for the 4-time champ to make a return for at least a one-off night.

Meanwhile, Lita’s involvement did promote the performers in that indie show. Both Sheik and Cartwheel are California-based performers. The latter was making his Hoodslam debut at the event. This performer had prior experience working in GCW, PWG, and AAA. As for Sheik, she has mostly competed in GCW and Hoodslam.
