Having enjoyed a title reign that lasted for more than 400 days, Mandy Rose used to be one of the top performers on the NXT 2.0 brand. Being a socially active superstar, she was one of the sole reasons to tune into NXT programming for the better course of the last two years. Just when it seemed that she would be given a solid comeback on the main roster, her stint in the WWE ended.

Mandy Rose “Just Felt Bad” For WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez 1

The title reign of Mandy Rose suddenly came crumbling down in the hands of Roxanne Perez back in December, last year. The reason for her firing was strange as WWE didn’t like the way she was spreading NSFW content on her FanTime profile. Fans called out the decision double-standard as the company previously allowed her to pose with her dual belts without any further cloth on her body.

The fanbase of Mandy Rose felt bad about how her lengthy title reign came to an end. But she herself felt bad about how it was a hurried decision to have the future star Perez have her championship victory on a sudden basis.

Mandy Rose gave props to Roxanne Perez for sudden title win

During her appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, the former leader of the Toxic Attraction spoke about that title drop where Perez didn’t get the needed build before becoming a champion. Mandy Rose also noted how The Prodigy handled the situation like a true professional wrestler,

“I felt bad for Roxanne because she’s so amazing. I really do love her as a person and I feel like it was exciting that you’re winning, you know, anytime you’re told you’re winning a title is very exciting. But, I just felt bad because I felt like it was rushed. It was rushed. She handled it like a great professional woman that she is and we just got it done and she was obviously very happy and we had a great match.” (courtesy Wrestling INC)

Following the release of Mandy Rose, Perez continued feuding with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, the rest of The Toxic Attraction members. Perez defeated Dolin and Jayne in a Triple Threat match at NXT Vengeance Day in her first successful title defense since defeating Rose. Two days after the match, Jayne turned on Dolin on a weekly episode of NXT to remove the last mark of The Toxic Attraction faction from TV.
