Maria Kanellis is one of the most popular WWE Divas from the Ruthless Aggression Era who entered the pro wrestling world as a glam doll. She was one of the participants in the WWE Diva Search in 2004. Despite coming up short, she was signed up for the promotion for her chirpy behavior and since then there was no turning back for her.
Following her initial six-year tenure with WWE which lasted until 2010, Maria Kanellis appeared for organizations all over the world, including Impact Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and indie promotions. For those who aren’t aware, she has also commenced her own Women’s Wrestling Army promotion in April 2022.

Maria Kanellis also recently debuted for All Elite Wrestling with her real-life husband, Mike Bennett, and Matt Taven of The Kingdom. Coming from the Impact roster, they’re yet to become a regular feature on AEW TV but the former Impact Knockouts Champion seems to be very happy about signing up with Tony Khan’s promotion.

Maria Kanellis shed light on having a family
Speaking on the “Ten Count” for WrestlingNewsCo, Maria Kanellis noted how family was her first priority and AEW offers the best deal for it,
“I think AEW is the best situation for my family right now. The schedule is the best,” “I love growing and building with companies. I mean, I worked for Ring of Honor, I rebuilt the women’s division last year with Bobby Cruise. Building is really interesting to me. I think that for us, it’s the best schedule we could possibly have with two kiddos.”
Speaking about the family of Maria Kanellis, she gave birth to her first child in April 2018. Her second pregnancy happened when she was in the middle of her second stint with WWE and was one of the highlights of WWE Raw television. The news of pregnancy was also revealed during a mixed tag team match on July 1, 2019.
During the conversation, Maria Kanellis also disclosed how things have seemingly changed regarding having babies and being a working mother in the pro wrestling industry as they bring along a lot of responsibilities,
