The Undertaker has not performed in the WWE since Extreme Rules 2019. It was speculated that he may be back in time to perform at the Crown Jewel PPV that took place in Saudi Arabia.

However, that was not the case as the next stop for him is supposedly going to be WrestleMania 36. After missing this year’s edition of the show, The Deadman is rumored to rise at the showcase of immortals.

WWE creative is in the early stage of planning at WrestleMania 36 which is why there will be numerous changes in the future before the actual storylines could be put together.

But it looks like one of the much-anticipated matches around WrestleMania as well as the career of The Undertaker is no more in the pipeline if the recent reports are to go by.

The Fiend Bray Wyatt was the originally speculated opponent for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36 which was also supposed to be the last for the latter one. However, no such plans are intact around this match, as of now.

The Dirty Sheets reported that WWE was planning Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship as the main event of WrestleMania 36,

“With that match being the SmackDown main event of WrestleMania 36 (and also the actual main event / final match), the RAW main event of WrestleMania 36 was being planned to be The Fiend vs. The Undertaker for the Universal Championship.

For the SmackDown main event to take place, Rollins was scheduled to be drafted to SmackDown, but that didn’t happen and Brock moved to RAW later.” (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)

So the plans for the above-mentioned matches were dropped which also affected The Undertaker.

Currently, The Fiend Bray Wyatt (c) vs. “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship is being rumored to be the main event of WrestleMania 36. Thus the Deadman might have just lost the strongest opponent that he could possibly ask for.

With that being said, The Undertaker does not have a set opponent at WrestleMania, for now.

But the good thing is that positive reports are available on the internet about The Phenome claiming that The Phenome will be in action on the show. WWE creative team will finalize his opponent in due course and start a program, accordingly.
