Charlotte Flair is back in the WWE to reclaim her throne as the new Women’s Champion on the Smackdown brand. She now possesses 14 title runs in the WWE after spending just eight years in the company/main roster. Being perhaps the greatest of all time puts her in a place where she can pick her own dream matches. Recently, she did choose one of those during a conversation on YouTube.

Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Charlotte Flair mentioned the likes of Mickie James, Lita, and Michelle McCool are those who want to face to solidify her legacy. Lita’s match was specifically mentioned by her while McCool is also someone who’s been gunning for this match for quite some time.

Taking to Twitter, the veteran also made it clear on Twitter that she is open to the idea of having a match against Charlotte Flair. Besides, she also tagged the current top officials of the WWE to book this dream match,

“Real Talk….RESPECT! Oh…..& I stay ready for anytime @wwe @TripleH or @StephMcMahon call! #FlawlessQueen.”

Michelle McCool wrapped up her full-time career in 2011 as a four-time champion in the WWE where she held both the Women’s and Divas Championships. But since then, she’s worked one-off matches for the WWE. The first of those appearances came in 2018 at the Royal Rumble. She followed that up by competing in the 20-woman battle royal at WWE’s Evolution premium live event. Plus, she was also back for the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match.

Michele McCool wanting a match against Charlotte Flair for a long time

Back in 2020, one-half of the LayCool faction appeared on WWE’s The Bump and had a conversation with the hosts about having a match against Charlotte Flair. When getting asked about this match, she agreed to gladly compete in the match if WWE ever books the match,

“I’ve always said if they ask, I would probably be there and they haven’t asked. But I think the comparisons [between us] were drawn really early on, from our stature, from our looks, from our athleticism, but she’s 10,000 times more athletic than I could dream. That would be super fun to mix it up with her in the ring. She’s got a great style, she knows how to tell a story and I think we could go toe-to-toe. It would be fun.” (quotes courtesy Fightful)

As for Charlotte Flair, she’s the reigning champion of WWE’s blue brand and her status shouldn’t change until Wrestlemania 39 arrives. Fans are certainly ecstatic to see her working with regular talents on Friday nights such as Shotzi, Raquel Rodriguez, or Liv Morgan in a fresh spree of matches.
