Mickie James has been on her Last Rodeo for sometimes and it has now ended through last night’s Impact Hard to Kill pay-per-view event. However, she will be able to continue her wrestling career as she picked up a huge win.

As seen on Impact Hard to Kill 2023 edition, Mickie James captured the fifth Knockouts World Championship of her career in the main event of the main event match by defeating Jordynne Grace. The match was contested under the Title vs. Career match capacity.

The two women delivered a grueling contest with Mickie James delivering a bulldog off the top rope and Grace later delivering a delayed vertical superplex followed by the Juggernaut Jackhammer. After a 20-minute battle, the challenger ultimately defeated the champion to win the title to deliver a tornado DDT out of the corner to secure the pin.

With this win, the WWE Legend ensured that her 24-year career in pro-wrestling will continue as an overall 11-time Women’s World Champion (5x WWE Women’s Champion, 1x WWE Divas Champion & 5x TNA / IMPACT Knockouts World Champion). Last year, she became the only Impact Knockouts Champion to have entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match in January.

It was back on the September 1 episode of Impact on AXS TV that Mickie James declared that she’d win every match on her way back to the Knockouts Championship or she would retire. Thereby, ‘The Last Rodeo’ started as she went on to defeat the likes of Gisele Shaw, Mia Yim, Chelsea Green, Deonna Purrazzo, Taylor Wilde, Tasha Steelz, and Savannah Evans.

Mickie James originally signed with WWE in 2003 and made her main roster debut in 2005. Shortly after leaving the company in 2010 as a six-time champion, she won her first Knockouts Championship by defeating Madison Rayne at the Lockdown pay-per-view in 2011. She won the title on two more occasions before returning to WWE in 2016. After getting released, the pioneer dethroned then Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo in 2021 to start her fourth reign.
