Mickie James isn’t seen on WWE TV, on a regular basis but she hasn’t announced her retirement, yet. Whenever WWE feels like using her, she shows up indicating there’s a lot left in her tank. She recently dropped a tweet to remind everyone about her own self-worth. Whatever the fans think, she knows it and doesn’t need anyone else to validate her credibility.
Mickie James has certainly enjoyed a Hall of Fame-worthy career already, starting all the way from the Ruthless Aggression era. She is a six-time Women’s Champion on her own right in WWE who sent out a tweet that had some frustration attached around it. But she reached the conclusion where she only needs to listen to her own opinion and no one else.
“I’ve spent a tremendous amount of my life working so hard to prove my worthiness. To get the appreciation, love, & respect that I had hoped to earn at this point of my life & career. It’s taken a reset to realize that I truly never needed that validation. I just needed my own,” wrote the veteran superstar on Twitter. Perhaps, she was pointing to WWE not using her to the fullest potential.

Mickie James is still part of Raw roster
Given Mickie James’ experience, it seems that WWE should make an opportunity for her so that she gets a chance to retire on her terms. However, things could go wrong for her as WWE has no stability in booking, nowadays. Especially, they didn’t seem to have any plans for her on Raw despite the lack of talents for the better part of late 2020.

Mickie James is still part of the WWE RAW roster. There have been rumors in early January that she may have been quietly retired following her appearance at RAW Legends Night on the first episode of Raw. She was apparently removed from the active roster on the WWE website but those reports are not true, according to Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes.
It was noted in the report that Mickie James is still an active performer in WWE. She had been cleared to wrestle following the broken nose she suffered back in October. As a result, she was allowed to make a one-off appearance during the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble match. James was never officially drafted in the 2020 WWE Draft last October and hence she is neither a part of Raw nor SmackDown.
