WWE Raw started off in a dramatic way where a possibility occurred so that the Money In the Bank could be cashed in. However, the reigning WWE Champion managed to retain, thanks to helping from his bitter rival. Randy Orton was seen cutting a promo in the opening sequences of the show about his 14th world title win when Alexa Bliss joined him and gave a creepy performance.

She then said “he could be here” indicating The Fiend Bray Wyatt’s arrival. The menacing sounds of the demonic character started playing all over the arena but Orton had to deal with his nemesis, instead. Drew McIntyre was the one who appeared from behind and landed a Claymore Kick on The Viper. While Orton was laying, The Miz jumped in with his Money in the Bank briefcase.

He ran to the ring with John Morrison accompanying him as he informed the officials to cash in his Money In The Bank contract. He handed off the briefcase, and the match was also was announced. But then Drew McIntyre came back and took out The Hollywood A-Lister with a Claymore Kick. McIntyre also shoved John Morrison off the ring. All of these happened before the match bell rang and hence the cash-in never happened, actually.

The consequences were dragged through the main event of WWE RAW where Drew McIntyre competed in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Money In the Bank winner The Miz and John Morrison. It was an easy win for the Scottish Psychopath who planted The Miz with the Futureshock DDT before taking out Morrison with a dive-in attempt. Then he connected with the Claymore Kick to get an easy win but The Viper arrived to settle the score from earlier the night.

Just after McIntyre picked the win over Money In the Bank briefcase winner, Randy Orton attacked from out of nowhere with the RKO. Orton stood tall and raised the WWE Title belt in the air until The Fiend’s menacing sounds hit the arena again. Some quick flashes of The Fiend appeared on the TV screen as WWE Raw went off the air.

It’s interesting to note that Drew McIntyre is openly saying that if anyone is going to take the title from Orton, it’s going to be him. However, The Miz is also bringing unpredictability around the scene with his Money In The Bank briefcase. McIntyre lost the WWE Title at Hell in a Cell, and he’s not forgotten the good times he had with the belt, at all.
