Money in the Bank is that one night of the year where the WWE Universe can be amped up for seeing shocking things. The ladder match itself provides the capacity for excitement and this is the reason why WWE introduced a gimmick-based PPV under this name starting in 2010. With the 2022 edition approaching closer, perhaps another surprise could be waiting for us.
Former multi-time WWE Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley has recently teased the possibility of winning the 2022 Money In The Bank ladder match on social media. The formerly known as The Hugger is currently on the shelf for almost a year as she was dealing with a torn ACL which she suffered in July 2021 during a training session at the WWE Performance Center.

Back then, she was prepping for her Smackdown Women’s Title match opportunity against the champion Bianca Belair but the match never happened due to Bayley’s injury. Since that point, fans have been eagerly awaiting her return to the company, and she is well aware of the same. This is why she has constantly been teasing her return to WWE TV.
The latest instance came through a new post on her Instagram, where Bayley shared a photo of herself in bed hugging the Money In The Bank briefcase, tightly which was a clear indication of getting added to the fray for the women’s ladder match set for upcoming premium live event which takes place on July 2. As per the WWE, there are currently two vacant spots remaining in the women’s ladder match.

Bayley had a history with WWE’s Money in the Bank PLE
Bayley won the Money In The Bank ladder match back in 2019, and she ended up cashing it in on that very same night after holding the briefcase for about an hour and 25 minutes. Then she defeated Charlotte Flair to become the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion for the first time in her career. Thus, she also remains the quickest female superstar to successfully cash in her MITB contract for a championship opportunity.
It had been reported back in March that Bayley was physically ready to make her return in time for Wrestlemania 38 but despite the thin condition of the women’s roster, she is yet to make her return to WWE TV. So, it remains to be seen whether it happens in time for Money in the Bank 2022.
