Still, not over with his feud with Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes will momentarily turn his attention to Judgment Day at Money in the Bank 2023. As announced on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, the top babyface player of the red brand will square off in a match against Dominik Mysterio of the faction at the upcoming PLE.
Back in April, The Judgment Day wanted to have Cody Rhodes on their side but that offer was turned down. During last week’s episode of Miz TV, Rhodes was again confronted by Dominik Myusterio, which resulted in Rhodes getting a slap from Dom.

During this week’s Raw, WWE Official Adam Pearce presented Rhea Ripley with the brand-new Women’s World Championship as she was with her Dominik. Rhodes then interrupted their celebration and suggested Dom accept his challenge, for a match at the Money in the Bank 2023 Premium Live Event.
Ripley and Dom then discussed whether the challenge should be accepted when The Miz, Rhodes’ scheduled opponent on Raw attacked him from behind. Dom then again delivered a cheap shot before walking away through the ramp. Before exiting Ripley took the mic and confirmed that Dom will see Rhodes at Money in the Bank 2023 PLE.

Money in the Bank 2023: WWE had two options for Cody Rhodes
Heading into this week’s Raw, insider source BWE provided the spoiler that WWE was indeed planning to do Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio at Money in the Bank 2023, and that match was eventually confirmed for the show. WWE reportedly had two options heading into the match,
1. A mixed tag team match, where Dominik and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley would take on Cody and a female partner of his choice. This partner was once touted to be Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes, as she targeted Ripley on social media, last week.
2. Cody and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins could have competed against Dominik & a Judgment Day member in a tag team match.

But ultimately, WWE went ahead with the singles match at Money in the Bank 2023 where Dominik should garner massive heel heat from the UK audience. At this point, reports also claim that Rhodes is scheduled to face Brock Lesnar in their third match at Summerslam 2023 in early August.
