After two participants qualified from the Raw men’s side for the Men’s Money in the Bank 2023 ladder match this past Monday night, one male superstar from the Smackdown side joined them. While many thought that Montez Ford was going to be one of the favorites to win the opportunistic ladder match, he couldn’t even qualify for the match in the first place.

As seen on the June 2 episode of Smackdown, LA Knight confirmed his spot at the men’s Money in the Bank 2023 ladder match by defeating Montez Ford of the Street Profits. Thus, Knight joined Shinsuke Nakamura and Ricochet, who both qualified for the match on the May 29 episode of Raw. The two respectively defeated Bronson Reed and former two-time MITB ladder match winner The Miz to qualify.

Money In The Bank 2023: First Male Participant Revealed From WWE Smackdown Roster 2

Coming back to the men’s division Money in the Ladder 2023 match, LA Knight is the reported favorite to win the match from the very beginning. Knight had witnessed success in ladder matches in WWE as he defeated Cameron Grimes in a ladder match to win the Million Dollar Title at NXT: In Your House in 2021. Interestingly, Grimes is also a part of the Smackdown brand and he could also be a part of the ladder match.

Time will tell whether Knight can capitalize on the opportunity received at the Money in the Bank 2023 men’s ladder match that’s scheduled on Saturday, July 1 at the 2023 WWE Money in the Bank premium live event at the O2 Arena in London, England.
