WWE’s Money in the Bank 2023 event is set to go down from London’s O2 Arena in the United Kingdom, this weekend. Being an international PPV event, WWE is expectedly bringing a lot of marquee names to feature on the show to make it a grand success.
The WWE Universe also expected to see Drew McIntyre on the show since this is his home country. However, that might not be the case given that WWE is yet to figure out the contract situation regarding him.
Just a few weeks ago, reports were out stating that Money in the Bank 2023 could be a perfect returning spot for Drew McIntyre given that the event is scheduled from his homeland of the UK. WWE was also reportedly having some big-time plans intact for his return to the Raw brand.

In an update to the situation, PWInsider noted in the latest that Drew McIntyre’s WWE return doesn’t look like going to happen at Money in the Bank 2023. If it becomes a reality then it would indeed be a big surprise but odds are that the fans will have to wait for it as the creative differences between the two parties persist.

“If they have decided to pull the trigger and bring him back Saturday, it’s being well hidden thus far.”
Money In The Bank 2023: Current Betting Odds Revealed For WWE PLE
We haven’t seen Drew McIntyre on WWE programming since his triple-threat match at WrestleMania with Sheamus and GUNTHER. Interestingly, he was the one to get pinned in that match was thought to be his on-screen burial before the eventual WWE departure. But then hopes were raised around him as Money in the Bank 2023 approached closer.
However, it appears that the Scottish Warrior’s contract dispute with WWE hasn’t come to an end and that his time with the WWE is indeed nearing expiration. If no new deal is reached in the near future and his absence at Money in the Bank 2023 remains significant then the rumored WWE departure should become a reality.
