Seth Rollins has agreed to put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line at Money in the Bank 2023 which will mark his first title defense at a premium live event. Since winning the title, last month, he proved the championship on Raw to be a workhorse title belt, for good. Predictably, he had no issue in giving a championship shot to his current rival.
In a segment on this week’s episode of Raw, Judgment Day member Finn Balor reminded fans that he defeated Roman Reigns, clean on his first night on WWE’s main roster back in 2016. He also reminded fans that he became the first-ever WWE Universal Champion just a few weeks later that year by defeating Seth Rollins at that year’s Summerslam.

Balor’s career-defining win was short-lived due to an injury caused by Seth Rollins during the match. He eventually had to vacate the title the next night on Raw. Remembering that incident, Balor promised to return the favor to Seth at Money in the Bank 2023 when he challenges him for the World Heavyweight Championship.
