Pro-wrestling fans in the United Kingdom were overjoyed to have Money in the Bank 2023 premium live event on their soil. A full weekend was reserved in the country which consisted of the PLE, a Smackdown TV taping, the night prior, and then a couple of untelevised house shows around the UK to cater to the fanbase of the UK.

Money in the Bank 2023 is officially in the history books but the booking this event has received will remain intact for a long time among the fans. Two MITB ladder matches were definitely on the card of the PLE to crown two future men’s and women’s division champions. One title changed hands while Roman Reigns was pinned for the first time in over three years at a WWE show.

These happenings made Money in the Bank 2023 a mega success as touted by the WWE head honcho Triple H during the post-PLE media scrum. He revealed that last night marked the highest-grossing arena event in WWE history from the O2 Arena in London, England. The night before Smackdown was also the highest-grossing weekly TV show in WWE history in that same region.

More than 37,000 fans were present at the O2 Arena for the WWE events this weekend around Money in the Bank 2023. Specific numbers are yet to be disclosed. But due to the July 4th holiday, more records could be broken if merchandising and other things are counted. This event also marked WWE’s straight-up third international PPV outing which appeared to have scored the most success.

This is the reason that London fans are also hoping to get a Wrestlemania in due course especially after John Cena hyped up the fact during his Money in the Bank 2023 return. But Triple H downplayed the idea in his comments since it’s a tough process.
