Rick Boogs has been invited to the main roster from WWE NXT during SmackDown, a couple of weeks ago. He will now be playing the role of Shinsuke Nakamura’s lead guitarist. Apparently, this call-up isn’t the only one to be seen on Raw or Smackdown as some more can reportedly be expected in due course.

WWE NXT brand has just gone through some cuts including the names like Velveteen Dream, Jessamyn Duke, or Kavita Devi but enough talents are available to send some names to the main roster who aren’t being used on Tuesday TV.

More WWE NXT Call-Ups Shortly Expected On Main Roster 1

According to Fightful Select, WWE main roster is ready to make some more room for WWE NXT by some more fresh call-ups. Ric Boogs was the first one to get that call while the report also suggests that several people were informed about additional call-ups to RAW and SmackDown. The call-ups may involve both NXT and NXT UK talent.

“There are plans for additional call-ups to Raw and Smackdown, including talent from both NXT and NXT UK.”

Additional notes suggest that talents of the black and yellow brand have been “speculating among themselves” in recent weeks about who will get called up next. “Multiple” call-ups will reportedly happen but the exact number is still not clear.

Finn Balor could be exported to main roster from WWE NXT

Former WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor is an expected name in this call-up list since his primary duty of putting over Karrion Kross is over. After having a failed attempt to win back the gold on May 25 episode, it is likely that WWE would start using him on either Raw or Smackdown.

Update On WWE NXT Possibly Bringing A Second Weekly TV Show

More WWE NXT Call-Ups Shortly Expected On Main Roster 2

While speaking to Out Of Character, Finn Balor was asked about making a return to the main roster and he sounded absolutely positive about it,

“Absolutely [the idea of returning to the main roster interests me] obviously, I grew up as a wrestling fan watching WWE and I feel like that is where I want to be performing. I feel like in my last run there I wasn’t doing myself justice. I needed to change something and I went to NXT and I found out who I was again and I managed to do that to some level and I’m hopeful at some level that RAW or SmackDown will happen in the future.”

Another name who is under speculation to make a splash on the main roster is the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai. She hasn’t been seen on TV since after dropping the belt to Raquel Gonzalez back at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night One main event. Sooner or later, WWE Raw or Smackdown should become her new home.
