The Bella Twins – Brie and Nikki Bella are two of the cornerstone figures of the WWE Women’s division who had done a lot for the roster in their heyday. Fans could often be polarized regarding their contributions to women’s wrestling but there’s no denying that they did uplift the status of the female wrestlers at a point when the so-called Women’s Revolution/Evolution was an afterthought.
Those days are gone when Brie and Nikki Bella used to be associated with the WWE as their global brand ambassadors. Earlier this year, the popular twins got detached from the WWE after their contract expired. They’ve now become the Garcia Twins away from the professional wrestling brand.

Even away from the WWE, Brie, and Nikki Bella are the two only bonafide professional female wrestlers to have recently featured on a top 10 list comprising of WWE Superstars to have impacted their fans on social media. Yours truly touted that fact on Twitter and the official Bella Twins account reacted to this achievement by stating the following,

Fans didn’t always like the fact that The Bella Twins got so much attention for WWE pushing them to the moon in their heyday via which Nikki Bella had also become the longest-reigning WWE Divas Champion of all time. But that happened for a reason as these two were the two first female pro-wrestling athletes to have brought mainstream attention to the WWE programming via Total Divas and Total Bellas shows.
