Sending shockwaves to their fanbase, Nikki Bella and her twin sister Brie Bella made their exit from the WWE. This happened en route to Wrestlemania 39 where many actually thought them to be seen in some capacity as the show was emanating from Hollywood. In recent times, there have been speculations about whether The Bella Twins will be back in the WWE or not.
Addressing the same during the latest appearance on the ESPY red carpet, Nikki Bella confirmed that she isn’t using that name ever again on TV. The twin sisters and former WWE superstars walked the red carpet at the award show hosted on Wednesday, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and they spoke with ET’s Nischelle Turner about their ongoing life.

When the host asked them about becoming The Garcia Twins, they had a one-word answer to describe their feeling and that’s “free.”
“We feel great,” Brie said with joy in voice. “Going back to our roots, it just, I don’t know, It feels [like] us, who we are.”
“We get to have our own voice,” Nikki Bella added “And we always had such an incredible voice and such incredible years — for almost two decades [as The Bella Twins]. But now, we get to walk into our next decade fully owning it, taking back our power, and it feels so damn good.”

The announcement of Brie and Nikki Bella’s WWE departure was first made on the SiriusXM show, The Bella Podcast which has since been renamed The Nikki & Brie Show. Back in March of this year, the duo stated the following after they have already announced retirement from professional wrestling, “Today we are officially from here on out, the Garcia Twins, Brie, and Nikki Garcia.”
On the ESPY red carpet, the former champions were again asked whether they would consider entertaining The Bella Twins’ name for a WWE comeback and for the sake of their fanbase. Brie had a large no stored for the interviewer as they are now connected to their roots. In addition, the former Nikki Bella specifically mentioned that the Garcia name would stay even if a WWE comeback has to happen,
“Even if we were to ever go back and compete in that ring, we’d compete as the Garcia twins. Because that’s who we are, and that’s who we’re going to spend the rest of our lives as.”
